By accessing or using Verzegeld, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our service.
Verzegeld is a digital time capsule service that allows users to create encrypted messages (text, audio, or video), seal them, and schedule their delivery to specified recipients at a future date.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and encryption passphrase.
You must not use the service for illegal purposes, harassment, threats, or to distribute harmful content.
Important: Once a capsule is sealed, it cannot be modified, read, or deleted before the delivery date. This is by design and enforced by end-to-end encryption. Please review your capsule carefully before sealing.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are displayed in Euros (€) and include applicable taxes.
Free tier: 3 text capsules with up to 1 year delivery, no payment required.
Per-capsule payments: One-time, non-recurring. Either sender or recipient can pay, as configured by the sender.
Refunds: Refunds are available within 14 days of payment if the capsule has not yet been delivered. Once delivered, no refunds are possible.
While we cannot access encrypted capsule content, you agree not to use Verzegeld to:
Reports of misuse will be investigated and may result in account termination.
By sending a capsule, you confirm that the recipient will welcome receiving your message. Recipients can decline invitations and report unwanted capsules. Repeated reports may lead to account suspension.
We strive for 99.9% uptime. In the unlikely event of service discontinuation, all sealed capsules will be immediately delivered to their recipients with a full data export. We maintain a 12-month operational reserve fund for this purpose.
Verzegeld is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for lost encryption keys, forgotten passphrases, or recipient email delivery failures beyond our control. Maximum liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the preceding 12 months.
